97.5 The River Advertising

Should I advertise?

If you can answer 'yes' to one of the questions below, you should advertise:

Do you sell a product or service?

Do you have competition?
Do you want to increase your business’ revenue?
You have never advertised before?
You have advertised before?
You are going out of business?

The last one is a common problem of not advertising.

Why should I advertise?

Creates store traffic.
Attracts new customers.
Promote your location.
Move old inventory.
Promote a new product line.
Boost and maintains morale.
Encourages repeat business.
Generates continuous business.
Keep your business top-of-mind.
Keeps you in the competitive race.

How do I get started?
Call us! We would love you to personally meet  with one of our Advertising Consultants.
After we understand your needs, we will put together a customized campaign design to
meet your advertising and business objectives.

How much does radio advertising cost?
Simply put - it depends.
Depends on your message, the length of your commercial, the campaign length, and so on.
Some clients spend $75 a week; some spend $750 a week. The best way to approach the cost
question is to determine your objectives and the budget you can afford for advertising.
Our Advertising Consultants can help you through this process and come up with a plan that
will fit your budget and your advertising objectives.

Who makes my commercial and is there a cost?
That’s where our creative team joins in.
Once we have gathered all the needed information, one of our writers will script and
produce your message.  If your message is run as part of an advertising campaign on our
station, then the cost is included in your commercial cost.

How long does it take for advertising to begin working?
It depends on your advertising objectives, your message and your business.
If your objective is to build your name awareness or TOMA (see below), then it will take longer
to work, much like an exercise program - you don’t get in shape overnight.
If you want to have a blow out sale, you need a strong offer, ("50% off store wide"), matched
with urgency ("2 days only")  and people will react quicker. The better the offer in the
commercial, the quicker the results.  But we can’t have a sale everyday.
But remember, good advertising cannot help a bad business, except to close faster.

What is TOMA?
TOMA (top-of-mind awareness) advertising yields the greatest long-term benefits.
Not everyone needs your products or services today. Consistently reminding a large group
of consumers, who are also most likely to do business with you, about your Unique Selling
Proposition, is most beneficial.
When any of our listeners need your product, our goal is to position your business in their
top-of-mind.

What is a “Unique Selling Proposition?"
A Unique Selling Proposition is a feature or benefit of your product or service that
customers and prospective customers can associate with your business.
A Unique Selling Proposition distinguishes you from your competitors, and is yours alone.

What is co-op advertising?
Co-op advertising is advertising paid partially by you and partially by one of your vendors.
For instance, you may carry a new widget from Acme Company.  Acme would pay up to 50%
or more of your advertising bill for promoting their product(s) in your ads.
Contact your vendors and ask if you have co-op dollars available.

Is 97.5FM The River the right place to advertise?
Yes!
Our philosophy is simple. It doesn’t matter where you advertise as long as the ad works.

We want to spend 80% of our time on what to say and 20% where to say it.
THE RIVER listeners are consumers, looking for businesses that have a product or service
that fills their need.

Put your message in their ears.

Call us today and let us go to work for you.
